The Commission Process
The Photograph
Naila works exclusively from photographs to create unique and personalized portraits that capture the essence of realism. Regardless of quality or blurriness, Naila can work with any photograph to bring it to life. While Naila prefers high-quality photographs, she understands that you may have images that have worn away with time. Naila's passion lies in breathing new life into your photographs, turning them into stunning, lifelike portraits that you'll treasure for years to come.
Copyright: Please note that you must hold the copyright for any photographs used as reference material. If you do not own the photographs, you must obtain permission from the copyright holder before proceeding with a portrait commission. Naila will assume that you do hold the copyright which will form part of the Terms and Conditions of the commission.
Pricing
Every portrait commission is priced according to its unique features, such as size, scale, medium, number of subjects, clothing, and background detail.
Our Agreement
Once there is an agreement on the details of the commission, Naila will send you the Terms and Conditions via email, outlining all aspects of the agreement. Payment must be made before Naila begins working on your piece.
Naila offers payment plans for certain commissions where the remainder will be due on completion. Please see Naila's payment policy for more information on payment plans.
The Process
During the process, you can choose to receive regular progress updates, and Naila can make minor amendments for free. However, any requests to change the whole drawing or make major amendments may incur an additional fee.
Naila respects your privacy and guarantees that she will not share any pictures of your artwork without your consent. In fact, many of Naila's clients request that their commissioned pieces remain private.
Commission completion time can take between 1-4 weeks, but Naila is flexible and can work within a shorter timeframe for clients with strict deadlines.
Completion
Upon completion of the portrait, Naila will send you a photograph for feedback. Once you approve the final image, any outstanding payment will be due. After receiving payment, Naila will ship your commissioned artwork to the address you have provided within the next working day.
